Job loss is also a part of this short term process but it poses some immediate questions which seem difficult to answer. Our belief system and education is based on a science which provides justifications to everything that happens in life. Our convictions are based on a thought process which gives us reason to believe in something after justifying it and moving forward. An immediate job loss without any valid explanation creates a state of turmoil and results in a situation which is contrary to our belief process. When we are not able to convince ourselves, we can not convince our families and the ultimate outcome is a lot of anxiety and hopelessness. Our existence revolves around the well being of our emotional self. It is a misconception that we work just for money, our emotions help us to get attached to jobs and perform to the best of our abilities. Organization’s existence is based on the emotional well being of its employees and also on the emotional exploitation to a certain extent. We can not give our best shot unless and until we are emotionally attached to something. Thus losing a job is a major bow to our emotional self. Job loss is a painful experience and requires a lot of courage to come out of it. We all feel baffled when we see uncertainties on the face of our immediate family members and our temporary inability and helplessness in giving them the necessary solace. Their dreams also lose ground when they see you today as a disturbed person who always projected himself as an institution of hope, inspiration, strength and encouragement in fulfilling all their aspirations. Jobs are means to our existence but in difficult and stressful situations become the reason for our existence.

Recession in the larger context is a natural process which grooms societies and prepares individuals to get enlightened and act more wisely. It initiates a thought process which helps us in taking proactive measures for a better and safe future. If we analyze problems are always short term but the conclusion we draw always has a long term effect. On an average we all face more comfortable situations than adverse situations in our life. Adverse situations although short in duration teach us lessons which has a long term positive impact.

As nothing is static in this world and like many other phases this phase will also pass by and present insecurities will show us a path which will make us more secure and give us enough strength to remain integrated, strong and happy.

Nice post.A job loss is perhaps the best time to do some self introspection and prepare ourselves for a better future.

I'm sorry but I find this talk all a bit airy fairy you just have to face facts you've lost your job and you better get another one fast all you'll become long term unemployed like me and have so called cv experts cussing you about your long term unemployed status, meanwhile trying to wangle 140 quid out of you.

After night there is day and after winter there is always summer. Like you said it yourself this is just a phase and it will pass away soon.

I agree with the statement stated above that job loss is really a difficult situation.so we should be bold enough to face the situation.a job loss is perhaps a better time to participate in other activities like doing other courses like horse-riding,mountaineering and skiing.
